If you are comfortable why are you complaining? Yes, I am comfortable because I have an agreed on price.

I was pointing out that the price was going to go up as the dollar decliened and I wanted my car before the price increased.

You are assuming the price of that car. I wish you luck. I know what our car is going to cost.

I just bought a 2010 RX350, FWD, Nav, comfort, premium, 19" wheels, etc... for $45k out the door in SoCal. I think I got a pretty good deal... can anyone confirm that?

What's the MSRP on this one? $45,847? $45,615?

Is "$45k out the door" before/after the tax?

Thanks.

MSRP is $45,847.

Out the door is just that... $45k including tax, registration, etc... That's the bottom line on my sales contract.

So, your price is lower than $41,774, which is $4k+ off MSRP!?

This is the great one. SoCal seems to be the good place to buy, they have good deal with 450h/350 now.

* It's super hard for me to figure out the tax rate in SoCal, I guess it's around 9.75%, and it's even difficult to get ideas how much their registration costs, etc. In the future, if ppl can just post MSRP with discount, this will be the easiest way to figure out the deal details. IMHO.

whether it's a deal depends on your local taxes

better deals that i've seen are $4-5k off msrp prior to closing costs

Wow, if the brand new RX10 350, not the demo or any others, get $5k off, this is stunning...

I have 8.25% sales tax. The "selling price" on the contract was about $40,900. It had 16 miles on it.

~3,000 off MSRP. Some dealerships were not even willing to go that low. Just take 2 or 3 extra days to buy a car by emailing all the dealerships within 100 miles. It's so easy to bargain and buy a car when you have multiple dealerships trying to sell to you, but 99% of car buyers don't do it.

I bought my 2007 RX350 from Longo Lexus, even though I live in Arizona, because of the excellent pricing they offered. I've heard recently though that California charges out-of-state residents California sales tax now where they didn't three years ago. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, what prices have been offered on luxury, navi packages on an AWD from Longo?

I was pleasantly surprised to see that my mileage in the RX350 was great - averaging 25 mpg city and 28-31 highway. In 2007, I originally looked at the hybrid, but even my salesman said it wasn't worth the price difference. Is this mileage typical with everyone? I'm definitely not an economy driver who deliberately coasts, takes off gradually, etc.

25 mpg in the city and 28-31 on the highway is not great. Instead, it's phenomenal for a non-hybrid. Are you kidding me? Are you sure that you are not getting false readings? Holy cow! I have never heard of an RX (non-hybrid) getting that sort of gas mileage.

If I was betting against that hand I'd say show me your cards . I had one tank similar with my '03 RX300 but then never got better than 20-21 city (rare) and 25 hwy and not based on the screen reading but based on actual miles vs gas pumped between fill-ups. My guess is 'maybe' but more probably a simple math error. So I think my 'one similar tank' was an error of some sort. You'd think over 60,000 miles I'd have been able to re-create it at least once, no joy tho.

And I usually carried 32lbs of air all around.
