So I take delivery on my first Lexus tomorrow. It's been a rough sale process, I don't think the sales guy had my best interests I go to look at it in the show room yoday and it is blue with a parchment interior, just what I want. But the mats are grey. The sales guy says "that's how they come, the carpetting is so light that they put grey mats in to save the carpetting". Does that sound right to anyone? I think I should insist on the right color, he was pretty down on ordering from the factory...

I'd heard that they were black for the parchment interior. They definitely do not match the carpet color though. There was another thread about this I believe. They do have a premium mat option that does match the carpet color though.

Floor mats match the dash color now.

I have the parchment interior, and it comes with gray front and rear mats. I let my 4 year old nephew check out my shiny new car this past weekend and was very happy they didn't match the carpet. (I still spent half an hour wiping up little foot and hand prints)

That being said, I placed an order for the all-weather floor and cargo mats. They're available in dark brown to match the dash for great prices on e-bay right now.
