Yup. My dad hates HIDs because his 2GS had them before HIDs became more widespread. Everyone kept flashing their high beams at him because they thought he had them on. Scarred him for life

James Sloyan was the original voice of Lexus for 20 years. The new voice on the new RX ads is also named James. He is actor James Remar. Some of you may know him as one of Samatha Jones (Kim Cattrall) boyfriends on Sex and the City. He was also in movies such as 48 Hours, The Phantom and also 2 Fast 2 Furious. Like Remar, James Sloyan is also an actor.

Since I have ordered an RX350 with 19 inch wheels, I am very interested in the comment that 19 inch wheels "ruined the ride quality". Has anyone else sampled the '10 RX350 with 19 inch wheels? (The one I test drove had 18 inch wheels.)

I've driven the IS350 with 19" wheels over rough roads and it does not ruin ride quality. A company as advanced as Lexus/Toyota can easily engineer a decent ride with a 19" wheel and that's exactly what they did. The also cheated a little by using a taller/larger diameter tire on the new '10, so that the tire is a 55 series tire even with the 19" wheel, (which on the old version, the 18" wheel had a 55 series tire).

I drove an "Ultra-Premium" '10 with 19" wheels. I didn't notice anything significant in ride quality. I think they're still tall enough to not make that much of a difference.
Nothing like the difference between my low profile, stock 19's on my F versus my 18's for the winter with a higher profile. In that case, the 18's are significantly smoother, but with the RX I didn't notice anything major (our current '05 rides on 18's).

The Matador Red is sweet.
Looked at it today...none in stock
Oxnard, Ca
The breakdown is this, or what I was told.
18" tires have 5 spoke wheels and NO NAV.
19" tires have 7 spoke wheels WITH NAV
Price difference I was quoted was 4k between them
For a 4 year lease with 12k and min down was, to me,
high...over $800
They, of course, kept working the price down and before
we finally said no...was down to $653 with only 10k miles
per year. If we went to 12k...$20 more per month
Here in CA tax is 9.75 and registration HAS gone up.
They quoted a start price was $38.400
A.M.O was $299
Bank Fee $700
Residual for 4 years 50%...which is questionable I think
Monthly Depreciation 419.90
Monthly Rental 175.71
add in the sales tax
$653+
Drive off $ minimum $2k
Rate 0.0028
with 10k per year
opinions please.
There were NO Lexus incentives at this time he said.

ML vs std 12speaker rx400h 2010
I'm going to trade up from my 2008 rx400h to the 2010 because of more options such as smart key, ipod w/ sat radio, more acceleration, and better handling. Can anyone comment if the sound is that much better in the 2010 12 speaker std vs ML. Is the ML worth the extra $$ in the 2010?
