Not sure if this will work on the RX...I have a 2000 GS400. The way I disabled the DRL on it was to unplug the socket that is connected to one of the DRL. Don't need to do both, I guess that opened the circuit some how.

Hopefully, it'll work for the RX. Good luck.

ps: if you follow my direction a few posts back to disable the DRL, one of your highbeams will no longer function.

Apparently, no one knows the correct way to disable the DRL without having trouble with the high beams. May be the only way is to bring it to the dealer to do it!!

Yes, the DRL can be disabled without disturbing the High Beams or other functions.
Through some considerable research and effort I have discovered how to do it.
It is a rather simple process, taking about 30 minutes. It is entirely reversible.
The suggestions made in prior posts do NOT work without other problems, eg, loss of RH high beam. The headlight wiring is complex, with 5 fuses and 5 relays.

Many car makers choose to make DRL optional, or customer alterable. Some Lexus models have a software switch to do this, which can be set by the dealer. For some reason, Lexus chose to make DRL on the RX 330 and 350 unchangable.

There is NO law in any US state requiring DRL. Further, there is NO sanction in any state for disabling DRL. Canada may have different laws.

Should you prefer to keep DRL, fine by me. Remember that DRL does NOT include tail lights. So in rain, fog, dusk, drizzle, or overcast, the safest choice is full headlights and taillights.

Should you choose to disable DRL for aesthetic or other reasons, it is fairly easy.
If anyone is interested, please let me know, and I can post instructions in a new thread.

They still have drive-in movies?
