Default ACtually

The dealership screwed up and wrote on my purchase agreement that the hitch was included in the 160 dollar tow package price. At first they wanted an extra 500 for the hitch, then I pointed out their error and they agreed that I should pay just 160 since it was their mistake!

Default Hitch problem solved !

Traded in my RX330 AWD, Performance package, 5300 miles, and Mint. Drove home in a GX470 with everything, including a 6500lb hitch. I would not be surprised if Lexus never put a receiver on the RX330. Crawl underneath and look at the clearance between the spare tire and the bumper. Almost zero. If you did not have to lower the spare it would be a piece of cake to put a hitch on. I do not see how a hitch could be installed without the receiver sticking out way past the bumper. That would be very hard on the shins. The cross bar would have to mount under the bumper and that would look terrible. I took mine to 2 custom hitch shops and both suggested that they would see what others are doing . I decided to take the easy way out and just went and got an 04 GX. I guess that I will have to go over to that board now.
Both cars were purchased from Chad at Crown Lexus in Ontario Ca. That place IS the best. Skip

Skip,

Traded in your RX330? WOW you must lose a lot of money. Just tax alone is at least $3000 (California doesn't have trade in credit ). How much do you have to pay to get the upgrade to GX?

I never lose a lot of money. (yeah right, ha ha)
Crown Lexus took very good care of me. I am more than happy about the deal that was made on the RX to GX swap. Skip
