Is Canada Made RX330 Confirmed?
I went to dealer today and asked if RX330 is confimed to be made in Canada starting Sep. Tha sales guy told me they gonna postpone one year for Canada production. Does anybody have confirmed info on this? Thanks

Canadian production on the RX330 starts in August. Therefore, the majority of, the vehicles arriving at the dealerships at the end of September/beginning of October are Canadian. (Canadian spec. base and Premium with multi-panel moonroof will still be coming from Japan).

I was told by the dealer what they have heard from the lexus corp personel, the Canada plant/site is still under the last phase of construction. It won't be finished or ready for production until the beginning of Oct 03'. However, once it's finished, the average production rate will be over 100 new vehicles per day. I am not sure how accurate this information will be, all I am concerning is my new RX330 is finally arrived at the port of NY few days ago. I will be picking it up at the dealer in less than a week or so. I am sure my new vehicle will have one of the "made in Japan" tag under the hood and of couse with the A+ quality control from Japan...

Okay, here's the "official" scoop on Canadian built RX330's. They are coming this spring and they are ONLY going to the east coast. West coast dealers are getting the Japan built cars. This was a surprise to me as I didn't think they were still going to build anymore RX's in Japan.

This was a surprise to me as I didn't think they were still going to build anymore RX's in Japan.
The new body style RX is still the RX300 with the 3.0 litre engine in some other parts of the world.

I should have clarified my last comment. What I meant to say was, I thought that North America wouldn't be getting any more RX330's from Japan because when they announced the Canada factory I just kind of assumed it would supply the whole U.S. .....If the world's automotive industry was an ocean, then Toyota would be a whale!
