Hi

I am trying to buy Rx330 ( and waiting for the vehicle....)

I looked at some of the discussions and I wonder if I should know about the dealer's
service department before I buy the car? Does it matter, if I service car at a dealer
who is conviently located rather than one from who I buy car?

In most cases, I honestly believe it does not matter, especially with a dealer who values good survey feedback and returning revenue!

For what it's worth, we purchased our 2001 Acura MDX from a dealer 2-hours away from us, but we used our local Acura dealer for all services. The MDX was certainly not the first "premium" car we've owned, but I would rate the customer service as the best I have ever experienced. I got to know one particular service advisor, and I stuck with him for every service visit. I guarantee you it didn't make any difference to that service department on where we purchased that MDX.

For our new RX 330, we purchased from a California dealer about 5 hours away from home! Today I had it into our local Lexus dealer for its first 1000-mile checkup. They were very courteous and friendly. I explained to the service advisor how I had purchased it from out of state, and they were more than happy to replace the rear license plate frame with their own!
