Question Multi-panel moonroof rattle

I have the multpanel sunroof option and last sunday a Scotish gentleman who have the same RX330(even same color) pull beside me and ask me whether my moonroof rattle. He said apparently they all rattle and he is still waiting for a fix from Lexus Canada. I did not experience these rattles before because I always have the moonroof fully opened or fully closed. After that conversation I did some testing and found the center panel do rattle if you go over a big bump if it is halfway open and the rattle is coming from the rollers that hold down the mid panel in the front which sits on a metal track and there is a one or two mm of up and down play. I am not sure if there is a easy fix because the moonroof panel is the biggest I've ever seen in any vehicle and the front of the mid panel is only held down by one of these rollers on each side. There will be alot of stress goiing thru that area. When the moonroof is fully opened everything is lock down tight and thus no rattle. Anybody with similar experience?

I don't have the large moonroof, but it's interesting that when I was first shopping for our RX330 I casually asked the dealer about the option, and he made a discouraging remark about how extra large moonroofs would be prone to developing rattles. This was just after the very first RX330's had arrived at the dealership, and they had no models so-equipped on hand, so it was just conjecture on his part. Looks like his speculation turned out to be correct, as this seems to be a common problem, although maybe not for the reason he was suggesting, which as I recall was structural related.

My special order is due in early August. I hope this won't be a problem since I'll either have the moonroof all the way open or all the way closed. Doesn't make much sense to me to have it open a little way??? Guess that's just me, though.
