Our dealer told us that Lexus is no longer accepting special orders for Dynamic Laser Cruise Control on AWD RXs.

Also, I had a Toyota Sienna (1999) that we were going to trade-in on our special order RX. The dealer told us that he would be able to take the trade-in when our RX arrived, but he didn't give us a price or anything. We just spent the 105 days until our Lexus arrived to try to sell the van ourselves. We didn't end up needing to trade it in.

Just got a call over the weekend saying my 330(multi-panel, crystal white, gray) was due to come into port that day. It should arrive here in Ohio in 2 weeks. I ordered it the end of April. Not bad, 90 days. Will keep you posted. I found out that special orders are only placed once a month(last day of month).

well 4 months later almost to the day today we picked up our breakwater blue with black interior. wow no vibration only pure energy. this is one nice auto. we have the mark levinson/ nav package with the laser cruise control. heated seats and auto windshield wipers with hid headlamps. took 2 hours to go over the features with our salesman but we loved it. i think he did too! he could sense our enthusiasm after such a long wait and our car is somewhat unique. havent tried the laser cruise yet but that was the prime reason for the special order. cant wait to try it out!!! anybody still waiting wont be disapointed. this is our eighth new car and probably the best. lexus has to be one of the best car companies in the world. thanks.....

I think I am going to pull the trigger on a special order ML AUDIO / NAV tomorrow (dealership quoted 90-120 days) and from what you're saying it's well worth the wait. Heck I can't even wait and I don't even have one on order yet. Thanks agin for sharing!

OK as of today (7/30/03) it is done. The new RX330 is on order and now the wait begins at 90-120 days. I have no patience left already!

great news lexguynj! just learning the ins and outs on our mark levinson/nav package. what a toy to play with. makes me feel like a teenager again. like i really need that! hee hee good luck on your car and the wait will go faster than u think. andy

Hey Techlover - thanks for the kind words. I had to get the Mark Levinson, since the base system is good, but I am spoiled by the ML AUDIO.

The Eagle has landed!!!!

After 4 months of waiting my new Rx330 arrived this week. I ordered the car in the third week of April. This is a one of a kind car for California, but the wait was well worth it. The car is a Breakwater Blue with the Ivory interior, which is a special order color combination. My last two cars had black and grey interior, and I vowed my next car was going to be tan. I got the Performance Package along with the Navigation Package. This was also a special order because they don't build Performance Plus Nav in their normal builds. I really like the manual shift, and the rear backup camera helps a lot when parking. To those others out there who ordered cars, hang it there it should soon now.
