Anybody have pics of black emblems on RX330?
#4
I'm a big fan of the black pearl emblems on a lighter color - I've got 'em on my Auburn Sky IS300 and they look fresh - on my Black Onyx RX330 I prefer the chrome emblems - I'm still considering chrome wheels and I think it will all come together nicely!
I think the darker emblems might blend in too much - maybe that's what you want? but not for me

Emblems look good!
Off topic, but I've noticed that a lot of IS owners also own or are interested in purchasing the 330, the latter being myself!

Replacing emblems...
Did it myself... Took about 20 minutes.
The Front one, on the grill, has a screw and two small tabs that hold it to the grill. You'll need remove the grill... (Only 5 nuts and it comes right off... VERY easy) to get to the screw. All of the rear emblems use adhesive.
The center rear (L) has holes to align it. The Lexus and RX-330 both require you to align them.
1) Take a piece of electrical tape or masking tape and put it right uner the exisiting letters to use as a placement guide.
2.) Then use a piece of dental floss or fishing string between the emblem and the vehicle to cut through the adhesive.
3.) Remove the old adhesive and clean with a good celaner wax
4.) Apply the new Emblems very lightly!!!! Be sure they are where you want them and are straight before aplying pressure. Once you have pressed them into place, they are there permanently!
5.) Remove the tape and clean with cleaner wax...
It's not difficult at all!

Thanks for the how-to. Doesn't sound too bad. But after you press them into place, you have to remove the tape around the emblem and use cleaner wax?

Clarification...
I'm referring to the tape you used in step 1 used to locate the bottom of the "LEXUS" and "RX-330" emblems. Once you have the new ones installed, remove this tape and clean off the residue with cleaner wax...
It really is pretty easy.
