Buy Question
I test drove a GX470 this weekend and liked it Alot. However, on may way out of the dealership, I notice the RX330, which is of course a little smaller, but it seems to have MORE features for less money than the GX. The only problem I have with it, is that I've always kind of seen it as a "girls" car. I guess my question is, are there some guys out there who own this car?

The RX330 is definitely more masculine then the RX300, but there are a lot of men that drive the RX300 and the RX330. Take a look at the RX330 with the performance package.

Brett I was right there with ya bud - I felt the RX300 was a soccer-mom SUV - but thanks to the new sportier look (and features) - I feel VERY much in control of my manhood owning and driving this vehicle. I've had my RX330 for 10 days and ALL my buddies have oooh'd and aaaaah'd at it. I recommend the Performance Package with the 18" Polished Graphite wheels, the Air Tuned Suspension, the AFL HID headlights - and E-Shift which allows you to maintain higher RPM's and shift on the fly.....VERY MANLY!

I admit that I thought the 300 was a little too "foofy" for me, but I think that the 330 cures some of that. Sportier looking, especially the C pillar. Have a Flint Mica on order. If you need a more masculine look, you might want to look at the MDX. That's our other SUV. It's been as reliable as a Lexus. Might have gotten another one, but two of the same car gets a little boring.

OK, well I'm glad to see I'm not the only one thinking this. It was a strange experience at the dealer, because everything I really wanted(power rear door,HID's,Rear camera) was available on a car that was 10k less than the one i originally went in there for. I would never had noticed had they not had a 330 parked right in front of the door, and I just happened to look at the sticker on the way out.
I like the FX45 ALOT. I'll have to see how I fit in it, I am quite tall(6'10") and large(330lb), but I fit in the RX330 ok, although the GX470 was a bit better. The seats in the 330 seemed a little short, not alot of leg support.
Thanks for your insight

Brett, I would have to say that I am definately seeing more male buyers on the new RX330. It has a more aggressive styling and standard "17 wheels (or '18 upgrade). And by the way, my old boss was a white, 50 year old, approx. 300 lbs at the time, male who drove a Harley and had a '99 RX300. He loved loved loved that car. So much so that he also got a '02 RX300 for his wife, but she got the navigation car. Don't worry about it being a "chick" car because it is not!

I agree with the above posts. The new RX 330 is sharp looking. But the Performance package with the air suspension, 18" wheels, AFL headlights is to appeal to men. Works for me!
