RX330 Break In Guidelines
What are the general guidelines for breaking in a new RX330 as far as speed, braking, etc...
I'm picking up my Breakwater Blue 330 with Nav and ML tomorrow.
Thanks

Not required but nice to follow. I thought I saw the detail in the handbook.
Really nothing magical and it is not like drive slow for 3000 miles and then punch it when the odo says 3001. I tend to ramp it up from 0 miles to 3000 miles.
Avoid constant engine rpms for long time.
Easy on brakes for 100miles, with frequent gentle stops.
Most of all be kind to the other drivers and stay off the highways as much as you can. (The highway miles do not necessarily add to the break in mileage).
Congratulations!

how long
hi sganesh! congrats on your new car. we have a breakwater blue with nav and ml on order now for almost 9 weeks. we know we will probably have to wait till it is built in japan as it also has the laser cruise control option. seems to be a rare option so far! did u order your car way in advance or was it one that was already in the pipeline headed to the states? appreciate any info. we hope ours is coming soon also.

As has already been suggested, the best advice for the first 1000 miles is to avoid constant RPM's and go easy on the brakes.

Once past a few hundred miles, don't be afraid to rev it fairly high (but gently). In fact, it's good to gently "exercise" it by bring up the revs slowly, even if you have to manually keep it in a lower gear for a while. (But do be careful doing this as it can be distracting and thus detract from driving safely.)

Thanks everyone for your advice/suggestions. I put in my order on March 31. So it was a "custom build" I guess. OK, I'm off topick it up.... Will report later.
