Was told by my Lexus salesperson that the Performance Pkge only comes in 3 exterior colors. Flint, Silver and Black. I picked Flint with light grey interior. She said my order probably would be in the allocation due in sometime in May. Cant wait.

You've got to be kidding me! Please tell me this is all just a April fools joke. I test drove a 330 today and loved it, but Lexus seems to be determined to not give me the 330 I want.

Thats what they're shipping over from Japan. Peformance pkge with Nav and heated seats. Probably other colors can be special ordered from Japan. My car lease is expiring June 4 so I didnt explore that option since she said special orders generally take 3-4 months. Was hoping to get Neptune Blue. Asked about discount too. She said that since RX's are going to sell well it prob doesnt look likely that they will discount for the near future.

I would question the accuracy of your information. My husband & I live in the midwest, but really wanted a performance package w/ nav, a configuration being shipped only to the northeast region, so I called a bunch of dealers out there. I was looking for either black/black or flint/black, but I was told by one dealer that the allocation for April/May of these cars was as follows:


53 perf/nav:

7.5 (yes, that's what they said) are black -- (half with tan interior, half with black)
7.5 flint (half with gray, half with black interior)

Thus, the math wouldn't add up unless other colors were included. For those of you interested, I found that dealers had very few wait listed for the performance package. I actually found a black/tan one that I could have taken delivery on in March. We just decided the extra expense of transporting one to the Midwest wasn't worth it for us.

I agree. None of the Lexus Dealerships in Colorado received any 330s in our first two color choices. The dealership we have been working with only received ONE of our third choice, but it was fully loaded with RSES (don't need, no kids).

Like Jennifer, I also really wanted one with performance/nav, and called several dealerships in the NE, but came to the same conclusion ... it would be too much $$$ to ship it back to Colo. Also I already own a black car and don't care for either the silver or flint.

Very fustrating!

Well, how's this for reversing gears?

I've been convinced that I wanted the Performance Package. Had to have it, no if's, and's, or but's. Unfortunately, it's very hard to get the color that I want in this package (Breakwater Blue - Actually it's the wife that wants that color). My dealer is getting a Performance Packaged 330 very soon, but it is of course the wrong color (Black). I don't want a dark color. Well, the sales man called Saturday and said he has a Breakwater Blue w/Black Leather. It has the Premium Plus Package (with HID and Heated Seats), Nav, and 18" Wheels. Everything I want except the performance package and RSES. Told my wife about it and we decided to take it. The color was the most important thing to her. We're replacing her car, so I backed away from the performance package.

I still have some concerns I need to address with the dealer (trade-in value, etc), but we go in Monday to see it and if everything works out, buy it.
