Current drain of 850ma at battery -remove #26(ECU-B0 & #68(Power) goes to 0
Hi, have a 2005 RX330 that is killing battery. After reading other posts,
tried the removing of fuses. Isolated to #26(ECU-B0 and 68 (Power)
Note- did replace a driver power master switch that had failed with one on ebay from
http://www.ebay.com/itm/281537725317?item=281537725317&viewitem=&vxp=mtr
When we remove just the switch the current drops from 850ma to 600ma ... so removing helped but it didn't go to 0. IDK if that has anything to do with problem but was recently replaced
We checked a Lexus 330 and its battery drain was 40ma ...so there is def a problem.
The ECU-B goes to window,door switches,guages,meter,instrument cluster,panel lights,A/C,wireless remote,power back door,driver memory system,nav display,moon roof,tilt steering,seats,outside windows,wipers
Power goes to windows, doors, door locks, wireless remote, outside mirrors
When I removed both went to 0
only ecs-b(#26) was 550 ma
only power #68) was 270ma
both was 850ma
Any ideas on how to isolate more would really be appreciated!!

Are you giving the ECU time to go to sleep? The ECU will keep pulling quite a bit of power for about 10-15 minutes after you shut the car off and close all the doors. After some time has passed it will go sleep and draw a lot less power. If you press a brake pedal or open a door or basically do anything to the car, the ECU will wake up again.

Hmmm. When this happened to me, it ended up being the aftermarket iPod interface installed in the car. It wasn't shutting off when the car turned off and would continue charging the iPod with the ignition off. Do you have any aftermarket accessories installed that might be pulling from one of those fuses?
Otherwise, I would pay the subscription for TIS. it will have the wiring diagram and you will be able to see everything that is connected to those particular fuses. Then you can narrow it down even further. The subscription is $15 dollars for two days, so I would try and get as much use out of it as you can.
