Default intermittent front shimmy

2005 Lexus RX330. 98K miles.
2 year intermittent problem. When apply brakes the front end shimmies until car completely stopped then go again & all is well until at some future time it happens again. Dealer checked twice & private repair checked also. Nothing found. Tires re-balanced & rotated several times. Newer tires with no issues. Anyone have a similar problem? Bob
This is an INTERMITTENT problem. The rotors have been, new pads & spring installed. Lexus dealer in Portland, Or. [Hillsboro] is un-able to find problem & private shop tried also.
Problem occurred after repaired at dealer but they will not accept responsibility!

Sounds like warped front rotors to me. The most economical way would be to get them turned.

If the issue is intermittent then it is related to something that moves when making turns, and when that part moves sometimes does not return to its original position or there is room for wiggle. Parts that move with the steering are Tie Rods, Inner Tied Rods, Ball Joints. I do not think the front lower control arm would have anything to do with it. I am also going to rule out the power rack and struts.

Power rack and front struts show different symptoms of wear.

It is was my car I would replace both calipers brackets (@ $17.61 each at Rock Auto), Caliper Bracket Mounting Bolt (@ $3.50 each. 2 per side), Caliper Guide Pin (@ $4.98 each set of 2 pins) Caliper Guide Pin Book Kit (@ $2.87 per kit. 2 kits required). Total not including labor $73.00 delivered.

Maybe front C/V joint is a little loose letting the axle move around under certain conditions .
