My 2008 RX400H will not start, with all lights coming on: VSC, Check Engine, Check Hybrid, etc. Computer notes all coils are faulting P0351 - P0356 - althought this is not likely the case. Battery at 12V. Engine will chug to turn over, then fault codes appear and will cease to attempt to start, with check system appearing. Tried, jumping, changing out 3 of the 6 ignition coils. Any thoughts? Started battery charged and reading 12 volts .. but could this still be the issue?

This is often a symptom of a defective starting battery. Just because it's charged and reads 12V doesn't mean it can handle the starting current.

New Battery installed... still no luck! Tries to turn over, tehn quits. Almost like its not getting gas... but the usual- check system, check VSC, check hybrid. Did i need to reset anything after putting in the new starter battery? Not likely, but jsut fishing....

When this happened to me it was the battery...But if you already changed that then i am at a loss. None of the things that need to be reset would have this effect on the car.

Ran the computer again - all 6 coils were faulted again - P0353 was the first to appear, followed by P0351, P0352, etc. It was the coil for Cylinder 3 (P0353). Unfortunately, in the rear center against the firewall. Took to Toyota and got soaked for $600.
