Default Throttle body cleaning

I have an 04 RX with 75k miles. It's never had a throttle body cleaning. My work vehicle just had this done and the Toyota dealer recommended it on my 4Runner. I found an online video and did it myself on the 4Runner easy.
The RX body isn't as easy to get to but I think I could at least clean one side of it and work the rag past the butterfly valve to get most of the other side.
Has anyone done this yourself? If so did you remove the whole body (which is what I did on my 4Runner).
Thanks.

you dont have to remove the throttle body. just do not spray the carb clean into the body. spray onto rag instead. after run the vehicle for 10min so that it can relearn the idle position.

Good point, I read this elsewhere too.

I add Techron Fuel Injection cleaner before filling up the gas tank every oil change (5000 mi.). Helps to keep the idle control passages clean (but not the throttle body).
