2011 Maintenance, Service Record & Warranty Info
Hello,
I purchased a used 2011 Lexus RX 350 about 1 month ago, It did not come with Service/Maintenance Records. Just passed 40k miles, What Maintenance Requirements do I have to allow Lexus Dealership do as I have until 50,000 miles Warranty then I purchased additional with another company. What can I do myself and not void Warranty and not have to get appt with Lexus Dealership & be charged alot of $ for what I don't need to have done.
1st Lexus/ previous vehicles: 05 Ford Explorer, Nissan Altima, minivan but I'm a Military Spouse who loved going to Auto Shop & have learned tuneups, replacement of brake pads, rotors change, etc.
Thanks

You should register at the Lexus owner's/drivers website. The complete Lexus service history of your vehicle will be there as well as any warranty work or recalls. You will need the VIN to complete the registration.

There is no requirement that the Lexus dealership do your routine maintenance. I always had my 5K mile services done at the local Toyota dealership. You only need to keep the proof of service records even if you do the service yourself. Always use the recommended fluids as per the vehicle's manual. Your Powertrain warranty is good for 6 years or 72 months, whichever comes first. That would cover the engine, transmission, transaxle, etc.

Thanks for the information. I registered at the Lexus owner's/drivers website & just printed the information. And will continue accordingly.
