Default RX350 AWD 2007 Traction control engaging when not needed

Hello,

I recently starting hearing a beeping noise coming from the inside of my car and then i noticed the traction control symbol on my dash. I looked up the symbol in my manual and found it to be the traction control. However, I am not sliding when this is happening. I am just going around a corner, or in 1 case just merging on the highway. I have had this car for several years and it didn't operate this way, so something is definately wrong.

One additional piece of information - My rack and pinion steering just got replaced in the last couple weeks. However, I called that shop and they told me the two are not related. I'm not sure, so I just thought I would add that piece of information in case it matters.

Thanks for the help.

Sorry you're having issue with the traction control :/

The front wheel speed sensors are next to where the tie rod connects to the steering knuckle (something you have to disconnect to replace the rack). During rack replacement there is a chance they bumped and damaged the sensor, causing your issue. Not for sure the issue, but something to check.

I'm sure they would do you a solid and at least check this for you, but be prepared to pay diagnostic time otherwise if this turns out to not be your issue.

I went by the shop that performed my last work and they acted like it was highly unlikely that this issue is related to my previous repair. Unforunately, I don't have any way of knowing...
