Default 2004 RX 330 Loud humming sound

So there is a loud humming sound as I would describe, coming from the passenger side glove box when I turn my fan to run at high... Anyone know what might cause this and how to fix this problem?

There's most likely debris stuck in the blower fan and when turned on high causes an imbalance and the hum you hear.

You have an issue with your blower fan motor most likely. Could be debris in there but likely the motor itself.

Would it be fairly easy to clear out the debris from the fan? if so is there a diy on this site you can link me to please? Or would i have to replace the blower fan altogether?

It's an easy job. Under the glove box remove the black panel to gain access to the blower motor. Then all there is are three 8mm screws and a plug and you can pull the blower motor assy out and clean it. If it is all clean you will need a new blower motor. Also should check your pollen filter which is behind the glove box door.

Not sure if there is a diy but if you can turn a ratchet you can remove the blower motor. You can google it and it may bring up pics to help you. And yes by pollen is the cabin filter.

Seems like all the necessary information needed to do the job. Not sure if photos are needed
