I thought the same so I had it done a couple of times w RoadForce; the problem is still there but it's only during up-hill/acceleration conditions so it could also be a wheel bearing on its way out or axle issue. It doesn't bother me that much anymore since it's occurring every now and then.

I am on my 5th set of tires and each set needed a road force balance to be shake free at 80+ mph.

Michelin Latitude Tours now. Energy S8s in the past. I am pretty picky about shakes. Most people would not notice what I get rid of road force balancing.

I had a pair on another SUV and I liked them ........ a lot. So much so, that when the current Michelin Defender's are ready to go, I will replace them with another set of Bridgestone H/L 422 Ecpoia .

Quiet on the highway and I had no problems with Cleveland snow. Whereas all of our sedans get dedicated snow tires.
I am getting the Bridgestone - Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia installed in my RX330 today at Costco, I have the 18" rims. For what I understand from the Costco tire adviser this is a decent tire, they have not had complaints with this tire. I was also thinking about the Bridgestone - Turanza Serenity Plus. For what I understand the Turanza Serenity Plus is a luxury sedan tire, pretty quiet. A little more money than the H/L 422 Ecpoia but less than the Michelin.

I am going to update this posting and share my experience with the H/L 422 Ecpoia after we come back from a long trip to Vegas, round trip that is about 600 miles.

I found that my Ecopias took about 1500 miles to be quieter and achieve their fuel efficiency. Wait a bit more before giving your opinion......

I just had the Michelin Premier A/S tires installed, and so far they are VERY quiet. Getting some 'hop' and shake on the highway so working to replace the struts this weekend. I've already replaced the tires once under Michelin's 30-Day Ride Guarantee (which they definitely stand behind). Been road forced each time. Checked Wheel trueness at a tire straightning shop, all good. Yes, shallower tire depth but still rated 60k miles and the reviews in rain and snow seem excellent. I'm all for trying new technology tires since it seems like some of the old rubber has been around for a while and I think R&D should have picked up some new tricks in the last decade since Latitudes and MX style Michelins came out.
