Moving on up...
In June of 2012 my wife fell in love with the CT200H. Our twins were 6 at the time and fit just fine. Tow years later the back of the CT is quite tight with the twins and all their crap. So my wife traded it in on a 2008 RX400H with 83k. We love the car!
This morning the Check hybrid system light came on. Hopefully it will be something simple because the Lexus dealer is 3 hours away...

Welcome to CL SpeyRod. If you want to search for information and troubleshooting on the RX400H, you should do it in the hybrid technology forum. Here is the link:

Ironically, the most common cause of the Check Hybrid warning light is a failing 12 volt battery. Especially if you get the warning on a coldish morning first thing. You can get a free battery test at any auto parts store. I am on my 3rd battery now and each of the 2 failures resulted in the Check Hybrid warning. Basically, low voltage on the 12 volt system causes the hybrid system to not boot up correctly.

If you get a new battery, get the Optima Yellow Top. It's a hundred dollars more than a regular battery, but it is well worth it. Also, I would check to make sure the IPM recall was performed. That could be the issue with the warning light.
