Also is this sensor all that required? Do I need to purchase valve stem or service kit as well?
Thanks.

I got a low tire sensor warning on my dash but all the tires on the ground had good air pressure. Turned out the spare tire was low and needed air. My RX is a low millage vehicle but the tires and sensors are what came with the car when I bought it new 7 years ago. So I know my sensors are still working and they are 7 years old.

I don't know if I should start a new thread or not. But I am tempted to replace the battery inside the sensors. T
Officially these sensors are considered non serviceable items. At $35 a pop, replacing 4 is $140, just to tell me my tire pressure are low. =/ (yes I am cheap, I also like to tinker with things) from what i understand, its just a little circuit board with few chips and a battery. Why not just replace the battery?
Anyways, The replacement part for my 400h is this
I saw this tear down of another unit on youtube.
I looked up the FCC id from the amazon link (assuming the tmps image is correct on amazon) which gave me the internal picture of the tpms.
https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/repor..._id=PAXPMV107J
It hows it uses a 3v lithium button battery br2450a battery which cost $4 or so $16 ..
The problems that could arise is that the tpms sensor in the video release some "pressure" when he opened it. I am not sure if that will affect the sensor. The house of the unit seems pretty tight, not sure if epoxy or any other glue can hold up the the spinning of the tires/bumps etc. Any one want to send me a used tmps to test? =)
