Default new to RX

Hey Fellas:
I am brand new to the RX family. Just bought a 2k9 RX350 with over a 100k on the ODO. have the nav system. I feel like i got ripped off since it's missing the taunoa cover, a second key, and the price i got for my 2013 GS350 Awd.

So, i have heard a few comments about the steering rack issue these semi-trucks have and wanted to get some more details what can i use against the dealer?

I noticed while driving the steering isn't always responsive over--a little latency while turning before it catches, and i am feeling a little feedback. Is this normal.

I checked with my Lexus dealer service and they said only the steering rack boots were replaced. I haven't checked with the other dealer yet for a service history but since it's a Toyota dealer i wanted to make sure if the boots are replaced that;'s all that it needs.

Let me know what do you guys think as i would really appreciate your input.

Replacing steering rack boots doesn't sound like a typical repair, I would want to know what happened to the originals that necessitated replacement.

As for the tonneau cover, check the underfloor compartment in the hatch, we store ours in there.

Lexus master tech here,

If the steering rack is leaking on the passenger side only, there is a kit to replaced the seal with an upgraded part. It is significantly cheaper to do it this way, then to have the entire steering rack replaced. If the rack is leaking on both sides though, the entire assembly will need replacement.

It passed Maryland inspection so i am thinking nothing was leaking or they just fixed the leaking side. I'm going to have to get it up on a rack to see if the other side was replaced at one time or not.
Do have another question to ask you. Squeaking noise from engine bay after cold-start and running--dirty belt or possible a bad cam bearing?

Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, i know it's not a truck. it acts like one.

So, i do have a question to ask. What type of AWD is the RX350 using?
