lol...dang...now I've heard it all.

Take them back and go buy a set of Rain-X or Bosch from Autozone.

There are a ton of options out there that would cost you far less -- take your pick. Did you not request pricing prior to ordering?

All kidding aside, try to find someone at the dealership who isn't doubled over in laughter and demand they take them off and return your money. I've read about some outrageous crap at dealers but this wipes them all away.

This is so ridiculous I'm wondering if we have the whole story, are you talking about just the inserts or did you need new arms?

The wipers the dealership sells are just regular old wipers. There is nothing special about them. You can go to Costco and buy a set of two new wipers for $20.00 and they will work as well as the dealership ones. GET YOUR MONEY BACK!

You should buy just the rubber inserts at about $10. I am sure the wiper arms are fine.... and the inserts are really easy to mount.

$140 for a set of wiper replacement? I hope it came with a bottle of Blue Label.
As mentioned above, just buy the inserts.

I have tried a lot of wipers and these are my current favorites. A lot of high end manufactures have switched away from Bosch to these. I needed a 22" and a 26"

Nice. I will have to try those. I like the style of that kind of wiper.

Thanks

Yeah that is very expensive. Take them back and go to any Kragen and save your hard earned money.

Bosch Icons are great wipers - no streaks and they last twice as long as anything I had tried previously. Highly recommended. I may try the Valeo wipers mentioned above just to see what all the shouting is about, but they certainly look just like the Icons.

I'm curious what type of blades came from the factory on an '07? Our's had the Bosch Icons on when we bought it -- were the factory blades framed or frameless (beam-style)?

They were 'beam-frame' style. Very old-fashioned. Of course, if you only had Icons when you got the car and wanted to get Lexus wipers, you would have had to buy the entire frame + inserts. I have put the Icons on my RX, and they are good, but IMHO the Lexus wipers were longer-lasting. Some people talk well of the high-end Valeos.

Good info. Buying the Valeo for my Sienna which happens to be 26" and will be the tester to wee if these will do well on my RX.
