My 2008 Rx400h Rear Wiper Arm must be replaced - it got damaged in a storm. Its the whole unit that screws on to the rear window mount, Aside from an obvious dealer purchase, can anyone recommend a good online source to purchase this - i.e. best price.

I was playing baseball with my son and the ball hit the wiper arm and snapped it in half. Has anyone tried a non-OEM wiper arm? You can get them for half the cost of OEM and was wondering if the quality is similar. If not I can get one from Toyota for about $39 including shipping. Part no 85241-0E010.

You can't go wrong for $39 including shipping for the original OEM product, you know it will fit & function correctly until the next time you play baseball.
I would verify if there are no small nicks or chips on your Tailgate Glass as tempered glass can shatter unexpectedly for no obvious reason.....

Wow. I thought that glass was pretty tough. This was just a softer rubber baseball so I doubt it could shatter glass. Regardless baseball has now been officially banned on the driveway. I ordered the arm from mylparts using the CL5 discount. The price was really close to an ebay price. Just last week I ordered wiper inserts from mylparts and they shipped super fast so I am happy to give them a little more business.

According to the last video, anything is possible, it's the impact of the wiper arm on the glass that can be worrisome, if there is a slight nick.
If you spot a small nick have a auto glass outfit check it out, they may have an inexpensive solution to repair the flaw.
Time will tell, weather changes, defroster on & off, slamming the tailgate accidentally....
Then again, you can be fine for many years to come.
