Towing a 2008 RX 350 FWD
We recently purchased a motorhome and I was wondering if I could use a 2008 RX 350 FWD as a tow vehicle behind the motorhome? I would probably use a tow dolly under the front wheels instead of towing it four wheels down. I don't want to damage the car, so I am looking for advice and appreciate any input. Thanks

I'm sorry, what I meant was am I safe to tow a RX 350 behind my motorhome if I use a tow dolly lifting the front wheels off the ground, or do I need to lift all four wheels to tow it.

Sorry, I misread your posting. It depends on the towing capacity of your motor home because a RX350 FWD weighs about 4200 lbs empty. Using the UHaul guide, their trucks typically can pull up to 10,000 lbs. However, motor homes may have less towing capacity than UHaul trucks. You just need to check the spec on your motor home to determine the max tow capacity.

Thanks, when I looked at the manual, it showed emergency towing to be all four wheels up.
I can understand the front wheels up on a FWD car, but thought all four up seemed strange.

as long as you know your is FWD then Front Wheel up is fine, most of RX 350 is AWD that why they want all 4 wheel up!
check you serial will tell your is AWD or FWD

Your car is a hybrid so plz use caution following advice on posts above because your car is special.
Hopefully you will get some towing feedback from other hybrid owners and if not you can post it in the Hybrid section above to get more visibility.
For fwd, the front wheels should be on a dolly but hybrid has electric motors on the back wheels too so I would investigate further and wishing I could be more help.
Maybe some info in the owner's manual or repair manual and I can look when I have more time.
