If you're going to the Chicago Auto Show...
...and they have a RX 330 on display could you take a measurement for me?
One of the important factors in my considering a RX330 for purchase is whether it will safely carry my double kayak. The boat travels best on wide spaced roof rack crossbars and the 330's side rails look a little too short for wide enough crossbar spacing in published photos. I will be using adapters to carry Yakima crossbars and kayak cradles and they will be clipped on the factory roof rails just behind the front roof mount and just in front of the rear roof mount.
The measurement I need is the maximum distance between these 2 rail mounts (front to back). Unfortunately, I know of no local RX330 on display that I could measure myself. If you are able to find out that distance (plus, maybe the show's Lexus representative could give you the weight limit rating of the factory rack system as well) it would be a big help in making plans to get on a list for this car.
Thanks.
