RX330 Suspension Torque Specs
I plan to replace the rear struts/shocks of the wifes RX330 (2005). Can anyone advise where I can find a torque spec diagram for the nuts and bolts?
Kindly,
Michael

I'm sure. There are some kind of spec, but tighten the upper bolts fairly tight, and the bolts on the knuckle or ub assemble VERY tight. Tarts want I did. Haven't Had any issues since.

One you use a standard socket wrench. The other you use a breaker bar or similarly long socket wrench. Just do not go overboard on it. The "very" tight is somewhere north of 170 ft-lbs, I believe.
After you do this for a number of years it gets to be second nature. Much like in the kitchen and the recipe states for you to use a "dash" or "pinch" of salt.

For what it's worth, the torque spec for the upper nuts on the front shocks is 80 NM (59 FT LBS). My source is the factory service manual.
Sorry I do not have the lower or rear specs.

Sorry to revive a very old thread, I replaced my back passenger strut today, and before I reassembled the 2 19mm bolts I sprayed the bolt and nut with WD-40. And wiped them as they were incredibly filthy,I realized that probably wasn't smart, so I wiped them off with my shirt. so I only tightened them to around 100 ft pounds. Obviously that is about 75 pounds shy. Haven't driven it of anything and going to fix it all tomorrow, my question is should I pull the big bolts and wipe them off again. And would tightening further with a breaker bar be better? Also is there torque specs for the rear sway bars?
I apologize for my ignorance but I am trying to learn.
