Default Rattle on cold startup...cam gear, vvt device???

Hey there,
I don't post often as I can generally find the answers I'm looking for, but this one has me stumped...
I have a 2007 RX 350 FWD with about 100K. Full synthetic at every change. Now my wife brings to my attention a brief one second rattle on most cold startups (actually sounds horrible, like a bad timing chain). After a second or so, it's gone. I've been researching TSBs and I can find some similar things for other vehicles, one was the TSB for the cam losing oil due to mis-aligned holes or something like that, but I don't think this vehicle was included. The other was for a loose bolt on the variable valve timing device(s), that also doesn't affect this vehicle.
So, where exactly are these VVT devices located so I can check them? Am I understanding correctly that there should be both an intake, and exhaust device?
Hopefully, therein I'll hopefully find a loose device and can subsequently tighten it up... I can only see it getting more expensive from there.

Thanks,
-Tim

Timing chain, common on the 350 although there seems to be a variation in the severity.

GAH!!! No timing chain problems please, don't even mention it!

Actually, that's originally what I thought, but I'm hoping against it. I ditched her old VW Jetta for the same thing the second time it broke... stupid interference motors...

Any other ideas??
