Yup, it was already replaced! I checked it in the service records.

Oh, nothing major but thank God I have a month to check the car out, but when I turn I hear something on the left side of the front wheels. It sounds like something is rubbing with the springs. I'll have to see if I can find what's making the sound. It's not loud but not normal. Hmmm

Something that was not mentioned by anyone or in the Canadian owner's manual; change the PS fluid on a 60K-80k kms interval. I believe this is one of the issues for all of the faulty PS units. I know when I changed my fluid at 80k the Toyota ATF from the PS unit looked like chocolate syrup. Just food for thought. BTW your RX looks great

IU'm assuming you mean Power Steering (PS) fluid, right? I was thinking the same thing because I think my old car had a noise like that before and it was because the PS was low. I will have to check it out. Thank you for the tip!.

No, diverchris is correct. The RX does not use a standard power steering fluid. Rather, it uses a DEXRON II/III ATF there. The transmission uses Toyota T-IV.

This is all right there in your Owner's Manual:

BTW, if the fluid level is low it means you may have had or do have a leak in the front steering rack.
