The car also pulls a little to the left, so there might be something else there, but at this stage I guess I will have to let it go and go have a look at a late model RX330 (can't find any 350's without shipping interstate).
Keep looking! Are RX plentiful there? We're tripping over each other here in the US.

Some people in Australia like to think that too.

Anyway there are some 330's and 350's but within the limited budget that I have (and that I have to 100% stick to), the range is quite limited especially when trying to buy something with much lower k's.

I am going to go and look at a 2005 (MY05) Lexus RX330 tomorrow and check it out. There is another 2007 RX350 from another state (and by the this it means that I am on the west coast and it is on the north east coast of a country) that looks good but my only concern is time (it's going to take almost a month to get here if I went ahead & I have baby number 2 due soon - next couple of weeks).

Part of me wants to look again at the RX400h but when doubt sets in, it's normally a "if in doubt, leave it out" type mentality (serves me right for getting a little too excited).

The problem with getting another 330, is that it's another 330 (although in Gold). Part of me wants the better accelerating 3.5 V6 as I found my old 330 quite sluggish at times. Sure it's 2 years younger, but I don't know.

Want car now, can't rush, buy the right car

At the end of the day, I bought a later model 330 (2005). Basically the exact same car, just with updated NAV, bluetooth control through the stereo and 18's. Will post up another article once I have taken some pictures.

The power of observation. When on page one of my local classifieds, there is five 'non-RX' Lexus' for sale out of 20, it tells you something....

You just see them everywhere. I don't mean they're comparable to a camry in any way, its just that they're so cheap everyone gets one. If they only made the RX hybrid which starts at mid 50k new, you would see a ton of ES' instead since not everyone making 50k/ year would qualify for financing...
