This just started happening to mine. I only ever clean the dash with a damp rag. Today there was a piece of fuzz on the dash and when I wiped it with my finger, the dash oozed grease. It is happening by the passenger airbag toward the stereo and by the instrument cluster toward the stereo. Not too happy about this.

It seems this 'only' happens in climates like FL (!!), so you should have been fine (!!) The procedure is to take your car to a Lexus dealer so that they see/confirm the problem, then they contact Lexus and get an answer/offer back to you. For me, it took six or so weeks rather than the promised one week, and I ended up calling Lexus myself - they already had a file on me and made an offer that I negotiated higher. I am still paying some monies which I do not believe I ought to - this is an obvious latent defect that Lexus knew about and, even though it would possibly not happen on all cars, it could possibly occur on any one, and thus buyers should have been so advised. Anyway, we agreed on some kind of compromise and the part was ordered - the Lexus dealer tells me it is made of a new material (different/improved), which, in my view reinforces the argument that the original was defective. My part is said to be now available and I will be taking the car to the dealer for them to install the new dash this weekend. Takes a day or so.
With summer coming, I would suggest you address the problem earlier rather than later. It's pretty gross when the 'ooze' pools in spots and around the key. Also, I do not know whether the 'ooze' can be harmful or not - children? rubbing their little hands in the ooze and then sucking their fingers? -- Sucks!
Good luck!

Thanks for the info...I am due for service soon, so I will have them look at it then. I doubt they will replace anything for free since I have 113k miles on mine and its getting up there in age and oozy dash doesn't pose any safety concerns. But if I can get a discount on a new dash, I am all for that.
