Default Audio Help!

Just replaced the front and rear speakers on the 04 rx330, and the fronts sound low, weak, and almost nothing comes out. They were replacement Kickers, adapters for the fronts, and plug-n-play harnesses for the entire system. Old speakers were absolute ****, no way for me to fix, so please help me on this!

It has the ML system
4 new kicker 4 ohm speakers, coax, rears sound great!
stock deck

Ive read somewhere, the front speakers have the amp built in, and other places there is an internal amp for all speakers and the fronts usually crap out first. I need to know which it is, and if I can fix it!

Wrong impedance. Double check the OEM you pulled for the correct value, though I believe it is 8 Ω.

But shouldn't 4 ohm speakers be louder, not softer? Not saying they aren't the wrong impedance, I'm sure you are right, but with half the resistance the fronts should be louder.

Without the schematics I am just guessing and thus my link to the other thread on the topic. My physics is a bit rusty. Perhaps the rating on the speakers is 2 Ω? Either way, sounded like there was an impedance problem.

but still, with my audio knowledge, and done the research the OE is 8 ohm, 4 ohm would sound louder and better. But my question is, why would the rears sound wonderful, and the fronts just sound odd? The old speakers did the same. but when I took them out I saw the reason for that, but putting brand new speakers in all 4 doors and having the rear two which are the same OHM as the fronts sound much better and louder than front makes no sense unless the ML system has an amp, like my truck did, and had a problem with a couple channels going bad

so is there anyway to bypass the amp? or just get a new system and rewire the entire car?

Or replace with something from eBay, such as:

Would at least test the one currently installed if you can.
