Default In the Market for a Used RX330/350 Which Year is Best?

I've just started to look for a used RX330 or 350 and wanted to find out from all of you which year is the best one to get.
I have been looking at older threads here to try and get an idea of any issues but I figure current owners might know better so I ask.

I'm probably gonna look for a higher mileage car as I want to stay around $10-13K price range.

Thanks

The RX350 was first introduced in 2007. It would be very difficult to find a 350 in your price range.

I've increased my price range to 10-13K. Hopefully there will be some rx350s.
I can go higher if I really felt that the car was worth it.

For that price, you'll want to look for 2005/06 RX330

It's just an anecdotal observation but the intro years, '04 for the 330 and '07 for the 350 seem slightly more problematic than the subsequent years. As our cars are aging I would avoid an AWD unless your location requires it.. The FWD simply has fewer expensive parts to worry about.

Still on the subject of aging cars I would avoid one with factory nav. There is too much integration of other systems in the head unit. We're starting to see failures and it's horrendously expensive at the dealer so you are left with the vagaries of a junkyard find.

Maintenance is probably the single most important factor. These are amazing cars if they are well maintained. Looking at your sig that probably isn't news to you.

Links with examples in your 'hood.

Whoops! I inadvertently looked up cars for Alchemist! D

Get the 350, it's 'newer', and doesn't require a timing belt job down the line as it is chain-driven.

The RX330 has a timing belt, so that is an 800$ bill [on average from what i've seen on here].

Other than that, same isht

The RX400h uses the 3.3L engine from the RX330 for its ICE, so you have a timing belt.
