Headlight Recall
Did anyone receive a recall letter from Lexus regarding the headlamps assembly on their RX? I swear I received a letter last month maybe and can't seem to find it.

Yes, many of us have received the first letter in regards to headlight condensation failures. The second letter, which affects most of us who have the problem but have yet to have a failure, has not gone out.
Moderators, you probably just want to consolidate with the following thread:

Any more updates for this month of may?
Just bought an RX
Looks like it has been "repaired" with silicon but still getting some condensation inside.
No lamp failure yet

I must be one of the lucky ones, I was diligently checking after the recent rains and haven't noticed any condensation whatsoever. I have the sticker that you're supposed to put with the owners manual though, so I'll keep that just in case.

RX Headlight Condensation Success
Based on the information in this forum, I contacted Lexus of Orlando and told them that my driver's side headlight had gone out on my 2005 RX 330, that there was condensation in the shell, and that the Toyota dealership (no Lexus dealership in Tallahassee) told me that I needed a new bulb and ballast at a cost of $1692. I asked Lexus of Orlando if they were aware of the Lexus letter to owners concerning this problem (I have not yet received the letter), and they said that they were aware of it, and for me to email photos of the condensation in the headlight to them and they would contact Lexus about repair.
Long story shorter, I took the RX 330 down to Lexus of Orlando, and they repaired it free of charge. Better, they also repaired the passenger side (which was still working fine with no condensation) free of charge by replacing the bulb and (I think) resealing the plastic shell.
Kudos to Lexus of Orlando for intervening with Lexus on my behalf, and kudos to Lexus for taking care of a Lexus customer with a nine year old Lexus with 114,000 miles on it. I'll remember that when shopping for my next car.
Kudos also to this forum for letting me know there was an alternative to my paying for the repair and to those who worked with (pressured) Lexus to do the right thing.
