Exclamation Transmissions filter - the change or not to change?

Hey guys. Spare me the advantages & disadvantages and general trans. talk - I know it all, and went through it all with a couple of Lexus', one of which had a trans. changed...

I've never cared to look into it [prior], but my recent browsing on RockAuto shows a transmission filter kit avail for the RX, both transmissions it seems as the pans are the same supposedly.

Curious if anyone on here has ventured to replace theirs?

Like i said, this is news to me, since any prior talks with a Lexus dealer service and techs themselves, and my regular mechanic state that the book says to leave it be! Only drain & fills. I've been doing this when i feel like it once every year - year & half, depending on the mood and work being done on the car. (roughly same mileages)

What are your thoughts, the kit is only a whole 20$ or so by FRAM with a cork gasket, but if a drain & fill really 'does it' is there any point in bothering?

The last time I did the service was in the spring time, with a drain & fill, then followed by a trip to the dealer to do the 'update' on the shift points.

Mine is a 2004 RX330 awd, others please chime in as it affects us all.

Unsure, i called years ago about one, they claimed to not carry it as it is not 'serviceable'... All they had [at the time] was the gasket so I proceeded to get that, and simply had the pan cleaned out instead.
