This is a great oil to be sure. I use it in my lawn tractors, generators, my diesel power stroke of course and my 65 and 67 Chevys . If I lived where it was super hot this might be a good choice for my RX 330 . Under normal circumstances it's best to use what the engineers recommend...5w30.

running 5w-40 mobil (top of the line synthetic range from them) right now...gas mileage has gone to ****. losing 40 - 60 miles per tank (8 tanks average).

Okay, so I read elsewhere that you shouldn't use the factory filter with full synthetic oil. And what about the oil drain plug washer other people have mentioned, you have to change it every time?

I have never heard that about the filter. As for the washer, mine has been reused for the past 10 oil changes. And it's not even factory. Just one from a random assortment box I picked up at AutoZone.
