Default a/c evaporator fixed for free!

So in the past I mentioned my car had the white dust problem, out of warranty

1) Corporate lexus wouldnt do anything without a official diagnosis....that cost $100 at the dealer and wouldve been a 3 hr total trip for me, so I didnt bother with that

2) Dealer said car is out of warranty so SOL

3) I asked for the regional managers information who serves the dealer, dealer wouldnt give it to me but said would call on my behalf. The regional manager approved all fixes at no cost to me. Regional mgr said he was aware of the problem and thought all the affected RX had been fixed in warranty, but approved the fix

What I learned:

1) corporate lexus is useless without a diagnosis, so dont bother calling them without getting one
2) try to use regional folks for resolving issues, these guys are busy traveling all the time and may approve the work just to get your case off their phone so that they can continue covering the dealerships in their area for that day
3) Use toyota dealer for repairs...cost of evaporator 1600 at lexus dealer, 850 local toyota dealer quoted me

They dirtied my car with the repair, so ended up having to give me a free interior detailing also

However, even with new evaporator, i still see dust accumulate on the dashboard....do you guys think this will always be there, or is this the last remaining pieces in the vents? Do you think I should ask them to clean my vents out again?

Thanks!
