Default Headlamps reverted back to factory setting

Here is a good one for all or you. About three years ago I had my headlamps adjusted via electronically at my dealership. They told me they go in with the hand held computer and adjust them that way. When I got the car back, they were certainly adjusted higher I could finally see at night now Yippee! At first I even got flashes from other drivers indicating my lights were a little too high. Then they seemed to settle in to a just right position. I was happy, I could see and everything seemed fine. Friday night I went to pick up Chinese food, it was dusk so the lights came on. Did their little dance, and settled. But, after they settled I noticed they seemed to drop down I thought Okay, that`s odd. Sure enough driving home I could tell right away they had reverted back to the factory setting. No light on dash or anything, just back to where I remember they used to shine before I had them adjusted. Saturday afternoon I took the auto leveling sensor apart (behind the r/r wheel) to be sure that wasn't the culprit. No apparent issue with that thing, but cleaned it any way and put it all back together. Next step is back down to my dealer, what I don't understand is why the Hell did they revert back to the factory setting? Strange software Toyota uses. A few months ago my driver side power window forgot the auto setting??

Good question, I better check. I know I was getting some corrosion on the one terminal. Thanks for reminding me about that. Battery is a Sears Diehard Gold, will be 4 years old next month. But that should be okay for at least another year I would think.

With the battery nearly 48 months it would be wise to have it inspected. Not abnormal to see system resets if the battery goes flat during the heavy load when starting the engine. Winter is coming.

My sunroof stopped the "one touch auto" function last week, and I had to reset it. Strange for some of these systems to just need resetting. Maybe the Lexus computers are running MS windows and need a reboot once in awhile.

When we had the RX4 I was able to twist a couple of screws under the hood manually to achieve the desired height.

I manually set my HIDs to the way I like it and it has been great. I could see further and wider, all good. But I'm gonna get a new battery soon and hope things don't reset to factory.

If you manually adjusted them, it wont go back to factory specs.
