Help: Dead Moonroof
2005 RX330's moonroof is completely dead. Checked the fuse and it is not blown.
I had the motor replaced once early in the warranty...could it be that again? Seems the chances of that being it seems so small....or I am just unlucky?
I did a search and didn't find anyone with moonroof motor issues?
Maybe someone is in the know...how much will it cost? will Lexus help me at least mitigate the cost somewhat as this is the second time?

It is Friday night. Folks are out for dinner or watching the football game on TV. Checking CL is probably a very low priority. Give it a few days. The regulars will show up eventually.
Assuming you checked all the right fuses inside your RX as well as in the engine compartment, it is probably a very good guess that the motor has gone bad. Only way to tell would be to get in there with a meter to see if power is getting to the motor as it should. There could be other reasons, fuse being at the top of the list followed by the motor and then the switches. If it is the motor again it would definitely be unlucky. Motors have been reported to have failed, however, as you found there are few if any repeat cases. Perhaps they got rid of their RX's afterwards. The sunroof in my 2004 works flawlessly and is used on a regular basis. I do lubricate what I can then clean and treat the rubber as best possible.
