Just purchased RX330, a few minor issues
Hello,
After nearly a year, I finally took the plunge and got a 2004 Lexus RX330 with only 56,000 miles! First time owning a Lexus and so far it has been a great experience. Here is a quick pic I took of her.
Anyways, there are a few issues and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions
1) Passenger side mirror does not move left or right but it tilts up and down. After looking through the forum some, it seems like a pretty common issue and I will have to get it serviced. Any idea how much that might cost?
2) There are little creaks and rattles throughout the car. I haven't had it for long enough to determine if they are getting worse or where exactly they are. Are there any good pointers to help narrow down where they are coming from?
3) In the trunk area of the RX, there are two buttons you can push and doing so reveals areas where you can put your groceries. The button on the left works fine but the one on the right does not work. It's almost like the connecting mechanism isn't connected to the button. Basically, when you push the button on the left you have resistance and then it pops open. This one is squishy-like and nothing happens.
Thanks for all the great advice!

Mortey,
Regarding to the power mirror issue, I just purchased a 2005 RX330 couple months ago and have the driver mirror issue more than just up & down the strength about mine is it working during cool climate like early in the morning or late afternoon hot climate like noon the mirror won't move at all took to the Plexus dealer in the service advisor informed me that there are quite few of the RX330 that have the same problem but not meet Plexus recall volume so Plexus replace for free if the vehicle under warranty other than that you have to replace the entire mirror with your expensive, Plexus dealer quoted $900 part & labor.
Luckily the dealer where I buy the vehicle agreed to fix it since I caught the issue before leaving the dealer parking lot.
Good luck,

Thanks for all the advice so far! I think I won't spend the money to get that mirror fixed. I didn't know you could just go out there and push it. I didn't want to break anything.
I am getting someone to look at the little latch to the cover in the back. Hopefully it is an easy fix.
So far I'm loving the SUV. I haven't had one before so I wasn't used to the body roll of the SUV. Something to get used to.
Part of me wishes I had got the LS430 but that's for another thread!
