2009 RX350 with a Bad Wheel Bearing!!!
Just got back from the toyota dealership after it developed a nasty humming. They are telling me it is a rear wheel bearing. It only has 67000 miles on it and we are the original owners so I know it's been well cared for. Does this seem like a reasonable thing to have to repair at this point???
I used to rave about the reliability of toyotas....but I'm starting to waver. I also own a tacoma that's had some odd problems (lately an antenna base that is corroded out).

Would not be unheard of for wheel bearings to fail due to a single pothole event or even repeated driving on roads strewn with potholes. However, we do seem to see a number of failures here at CL and especially for AWD RX.

****ty roads will wear these parts out...
67k, is 67k. If it were 6-7k then I'd see where your frustration would lie. Not to mention its a wear & tear item, not sure how you could possibly associate that with 'quality control' issues...
I had one go at almost the same mileage.
