Driver side mirror cover
Just got my new to me 2004 RX330. Did not notice this on pre-buy inspection. The cover the mirror mounts to appears to be covered in a shrink wrap of some type, and has gone baggy. Any fixes for this? Back in the day we used to cover model planes in "Monokote" and used heat to shrink it.
Thanks
Phil

Call me crazy but.....
On every mirror I've seen, that part is shiny black plastic.
It looks like somebody sprayed that with PlastiDip coating, and the material did not adhere properly in the middle.
So the fix may be to use your fingernail to gently scrape off the coating?

Update: Went out yesterday afternoon and looked at it, it was tight again! Appears
to only do it when it is wet. This is strange. Will work up the intestinal fortitude to
scrape some off and see what it looks like underneath, (what if it's neon purple )
