After abruptley speeding up on the hgwy and then driving normal, I started to smell a strong gas oder inside the cabin this morning. Should I be worried that it something serious? Also just yesterday my Maintainence Required light came on, on the dash board? Can someone pls let me know if they have exp this?

I assume you are referring to gasoline and not exhaust? In any event you should have it looked into by the Lexus dealership. Here is a prior thread on this subject:

"The maintenance required" light has nothing to do with the gas smell. It is simply a light that comes on every 5,000 miles as a reminder to do maintenance on the vehicle (oil change, air filter change,multi-point inspection, etc). You can reset the light yourself, the instructions are in the owner's manual.
