SIAP: Traction Control Engaged Early / Trac Light on / Beeping
Scenario: Traction Control engages for no reason (dry street) going straight.
Light with tire treads and car comes on and the beeping sounds. What is nteresting is that the BRAKES also engaged and acceleration was not possible until the beeping stopped.
In my vehicle, the traction control prematurely engaegd at about 38 MPH and sometimes at random times above and below that. Oriinally happened a few random times, then began to becom a regular occurance. Today it was not drivable.
My solution that has apparently (for the moment, PLEASE SWEET BABY JESUS IN THE MANGER WITH THE GOATS AND COWS AROUND YOU, please let it be fixed):
I purchased a USED Yaw Rate Sensor. Took out front passenger seat. 4 bolts and 3 electircal connections. Then removed the side floor panel (that has the lexus lit up when door is open) to allow for the carpet to be raised up ebnough to get at the sensor below the carpet. Remove the sensor and bracket and sensor cover. 3 bolts. 1 connector. Replace and bolt back on. Replace carpet and side panel thing (don't know what that is called). Put seat back in.
NEXT: VERY IMPORTANT I THINK. You have to do a zero point calibration. Google that or search this forum. Essentially you jump the OBDII port #4 and Port#12 using a simple jumper switch or you can simply connect bare wire. Turn ignition to on, jump it 4 or 5 time in 8 seconds. Then turn it off. Then connect wires or press jumper down and turn to on. VSC and ABS lights should flash for a second. Then turn off. Remove jumpers. Turn car on. Bam.
KAAAAAABOOOOOOM!
Problem solved. Now I can drive again.
For the record, this is a 1500 dollar fix at the dealership. Took me 1.5 hours. and paid 65 for the Yaw Rate sensor on ebay and picked it up locally. Boom.

Hope that does it as well, HtownBlue. Were you getting any specific error code(s) in addition to the dash lighting up on you?

I have another issue in my ABS but here they are:
U0123
U0124
UC028
C1223
C1241
I know the description for each but don't have time to type all that at the moment. Also you need a scanner with ABS capability to pull these. No Check Engine light on.
