2004 rx 330 newbie questions on maintenance
Just bought a rx with 886000 miles has not had the 90m service done, should I have the 90m service done now or wait untill 100m. I am thinking of having the steering fluid and brake fluid flushed now.Aso should I use synthetic fluid for the steering and brakes. Also what else should I do before the 90m service
If I do these things now when I take it in for the 90m service will the lexus dealer do them again so this would be a waste of money to do them now or can I tell the dealer not to do the ps and brake flush.I am going to costco to get new tires all around next week.Love These Lexus
Thanks Jimbo

Spend some time reading your Owner's Manual to be familiar with the fluid needs for your RX. The power steering fluid is actually a DEXRON II/III ATF fluid. Many here use Mobil 1 ATF synthetic for this and change it out ourselves. If you are a DIY this is easy to do. If you have someone else do this be sure to ask what they will be using.
Your brake fluid is just a stock DOT 3. Believe all of this to be synthetic these days.
You can always tell the service writer not to redo any of this work you want to have done now. At any servicing be sure to ask what they will be doing and what you are being charged for. You can always decline to have work done as necessary.
