Default GS Owner thinking of an RX330

Hi all,

I currently own a 2000 gs300. I have owned the car for 8 years and it has been great to me. It has never given me any issues and I am confident that it will last me another 8 years since all the maintenance has been performed.

I have a family and thinking about getting a used 06 rx330 to accommodate us. Someone I know is selling one. All maintenance has been completed but it has about 130k miles.

I just wanted to get some insight from fellow members about this car.

Should there be any issues I need to be aware of?
Would the car last me another a few years?
All opinions and any information would be greatly appreciated!

For my family 130k on the clock is a lot of miles. Will they be using it for trips without you or just in-town driving?
If I was to get a vehicle with those miles I would certainly consider a Lexus though.

We're new owners of an 04. You have to consider the possibility of a two thousand dollar repair.

I bought a 2008 RX400h but I like this generation of vehicle very much. The only issues I have seen are possibly wheel bearings (rear) and have the spark plugs been changed at 125k miles on the 06. I would of course do a brake fluid flush, coolant, etc. As for the transmission I would do a drain and fill. I would definetly go for a good price on such a car.

Thanks for everyone's opinions. I ended up purchasing it for a great deal compared to what was selling on CL and AT.

All maintenance was done at Lexus and she had all the records to prove it. I also had my mechanic look at the car and he said it was a great car. The car actually sits at 123k.

One question.

The car came with rear tint, but nothing in the front windows. Should I replace the whole thing so they are matching or would it be OK just to tint the fronts?

Thanks!

Just tint the fronts if it's legal in the place you live

My local tint place matched the rear tint shade. Find a good place and you should be ok.
