Default Aftermarket bluetooth adapter broken after servicing

So a few months ago I installed a GROM Audio USB2 module in my 2005 RX330. It was a pretty straightforward install. Remove the the stereo with a few bolts, put a Y-adapter cable into the unit and run the line into the glovebox. I put an optional bluetooth receiver on it as well. It basically allows me to have the ability to use my steering wheel controls to adjust volume on my phone or ipod, which I can link up using A2DP bluetooth audio.

So I can just hop into my car and my phone just syncs up and plays music. No cords. Awesome.

It worked great until my car blew a timing belt. I was driving home and suddenly heard a pop, lost all power and had to get towed to the dealer. My timing belt exploded and took my water pump with it. Cost about 1800 bucks to fix.

But what's bizarre is that suddenly the GROM unit stopped working as soon as I got it back. When it's plugged in I get no audio at all on the speakers. Whether from CD, radio or tape desk. Nothing puts out any sound except the Nav system. As soon as I unplug my GROM module it starts working.

I thought maybe it was just a coincidence, because the dealer didn't touch anything inside the dash, they wouldn't have been able to break my GROM. So I sent it back to the manufacturer for testing and they say it's working fine.

I've got it back now but I can't get it to work. Can anyone help me diagnose this? My only thought is that maybe having the battery completely removed while the engine was being torn apart did something to the settings in the radio. Is there a reset command I could try, a firmware update or something? Maybe there's some kind of anti-theft lockout happening? A fuse? I've really got nothing and could use some help.
