Default 2009 RX350 Bluetooth

Did anyone install Bluetooth for 2009 RX350, if so how it done and is it necessary to have NAV and Rare Camera. I own the vehicle for a while but thinking about installing Bluetooth. Any help is appreciated.

Isn't BT a standard feature on all RX?

No, it was not. Was not even an available feature nor option on the 2004 RX330, for example. Much like the availability of playing MP3 files in the CD changer in that it was not available in early years of the 2nd Generation RX. Then, when Bluetooth did become available it was part of the NAV package. Today, people want to be able to hook up devices via Bluetooth to the stereo, however, their RX may not have been equipped with NAV.

Welcome to Club Lexus, knr.

Your question is one that is frequently asked here. No, you do not need to have NAV installed to get Bluetooth for your RX350, however, you will need to go to a third-party product to do it. Lexus did not feel you needed Bluetooth unless you had NAV installed as an option.
